I've taken a few regular panoramas, but never 360°. My sister-in-law sent me this cool link to some 3D, spherical ones. http://www.utah3d.net/index.html

The photographer, Martin van Hemert, besides using stitching software, uses a special tripod head, made by Nodal Nija, that allows his camera to rotate around the nodal point of the lens. pretty cool stuff.

Great link! I have been doing few 360 panoramas but with regular tripod was a bit difficult. This Nodal Ninja seems great.

Whell if you have nice and sturdy tripod you can do it :) well mostly was doing 180 degrees panoramas but principle is the same. Make full circle and stitch photos. And thing is that to overlap next frame with previous one for 20-25% so stitching would be better and more accurate. Later on all is post production...
