Just a heads up....Anyone interested in music production needs a DAW ( Digital Audio Workstation).

There are plenty to choose from, but one that stands out is REAPER ( Rapid Envi.......look it up ). REAPER has the best routing IMHO, along with most if not all the feature you could ever want. I purchased this back in version 1, and we are now on version 3 and getting better everyday. And I am not associated with this app or it's developers, who are one of the hardest working teams ever !

There is an uncrippled demo on their website. It will nag you to buy it after some time, but still it will work fully. If you like it then it is really competitively priced.

Be sure to checkout the forums too. Some really clever guys behind this app.

Happy music making

A few years back I used Q Base which is complicated so I switched to Cake Walk. I used Sound Fonts and fed it through my Roland keyboards. I found it a great program but things move on so fast I havn.t kept up since leaving my last Band 4 years ago. Too busy with real life. ;)

This not as 'techie' or on par with programs you are mentioning. But several years ago I found Inport Deluxe by Xitel. It came w/super long USB so you can attach from stereo to PC. You can the record from albums, 45's, CDs, radio, whatever your stereo contains. It's great for someone like me who is not tech savvy and has hundreds of albums & wants to convert to CD for use in car or whatever.
